striking library/tabl
e clock.
Fitted with a Count Wheel strike mechanism. Of 8 day duration.
Housed in a black marble case with Ormolu decoration. Surmounted by
an intricately sculpted bronze Figure, depicting Jean le Rond D'Alambert
(Co-editor of "L'encyclopedie").

After 1850 until 1858 the movements were marked with 'Japy Freres Medaille d'Or'.  So this dates the Clock circa that period.

Fitted with a brass dial, a strike silent lever, a calendar aperture,
and a subsidiary seconds dial.
Housed in a replacement, 'Flat Top'
solid oak case. The case has been sympathetically replaced with one of the correct style and period for the movement (this method of replacement is known as
a 'marriage'.)

Beautiful, French, 'Duverdry & Bloquel', Mantel timepiece.
Fitted with an 8 day movement, with a platform lever escapement.
The enamel dial is covered with a bevelled edge convex glass, and a brass bezel. Housed in a mahogany balloon style case, with intricate boxwood stringing and Mother-of -Pearl inlay, and surmounted on four brass bun feet.

Housed in a dark mahogany case, with decorative carved ears and a carved surround to the pendulum aperture.

The trunk of the case has a curved foot base with a lower access door, and two upper side doors.
